Tagcloud Plugin for Croogo

Posted by Andrew on December 9th 2009, 4:27am

Wow, it's been about two weeks since my last post. I have been quite busy in the last month finishing up a custom social network that I developed in CakePHP.

Fahad the author of Croogo has added some great new functionality to Croogo especially when it comes to extending the system and creating your own plugins/hooks. I will be writing up some tutorials once the hook system is complete (hopefully in the next few days).

To test out the new plugin/hook system I developed a Tagcloud plugin with it's own admin panel that will allow you to add a tagcloud to your Croogo install. Check out the plugin page for more details and to download.

Hey this is so cool. I'm going to dissect what you have done and try to create some of my own plugins.

Great plugin (i think). But there's no documentation? How do i install the plugin? The Readme file is empty? I don't get it. Sorry. On your page the tag cloud looks like a tag cloud. On my page it looks like a list/blogroll? How do i change this?? Thank you.

Did you follow the instructions on http://andrw.net/code/croogo-tagcloud-plugin. If it still doesn't work contact me through the contact page and send me your IM and I will give you a hand.

One note if you are using the latest version of Croogo from github Fahad has changed a few thing with implementing plugins. I will update it shortly to be compatible.
